I can’t wait to get to hold Paulie. Is there anything more wonderful than cuddling a sweet little baby? I took care of my friend’s son when he was an infant, and I absolutely loved carrying him around in the Snuggly. He was so soft and warm and sweet, and the top of his little head was right where I could kiss it! I love babies, I always have. Since I’ve been pregnant I have this strong desire to hold little ones when I see them. It’s almost as if my body is aching to have someone in my arms 🙂
I love how little babies curl their hands up into tight fists, with tiny dimples on each knuckle. I love the way they smell. I don’t mean just the smell of baby wash, either, although I like that baby powder smell. No, I mean the way that babies themselves smell, some sort of pure essence that they have 🙂
I can’t wait to hold Paulie!!

What a blessing! Paulie is such a sweet name. How did you and your husband choose it? I hope to be in your shoes in the next year. Next fall is my partner and my focus for starting the adventure of ‘trying.’ Having a baby has been a life long desire. Blessings on your days and thanks for visiting my blog. How did you stumble upon it?
Warmly,
Lisa

Thank you! Paulie is named after my husband’s grandfather, a truly wonderful man. Being a mother has also been a lifelong dream for me– I’ve always known that I wanted kids. I feel so blessed to have little Paulie in my life. He brings me so much joy, and he hasn’t even been born yet!
I came across your blog when I did a WordPress search for “co-op preschool.” I requested the most recent posts. I’m not sure if your blog came up because of the “co-op” part or the “preschool” part, but I’m so glad that I found it! Thank you so much for sharing your poetry!
